Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Faultline ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use fltln.io and app.fltln.io (the "Service"). We aim to collect only what we need to run the Service.
1. Information we collect
Account data: your name, email, organization, and authentication identifiers, managed through our authentication provider.
Google account data: if you choose “Sign in with Google,” we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We use this information only to create and secure your Faultline account and to sign you in. We request no other Google data, and we do not access your Gmail, Calendar, Drive, or contacts.
Monitoring data: the services, checks, incidents, and events you configure, including heartbeat and status data you send us.
Usage data: log and analytics data about how you interact with the Service, used to maintain and improve it.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide the Service, detect and escalate incidents, communicate with you, secure our systems, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
Faultline’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. Sub-processors
We rely on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, payment processing, and notification delivery (such as Slack, PagerDuty, and webhooks you configure). These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.
4. Data retention
Monitoring and incident data are retained according to your plan's retention window. Account data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, unless a longer period is required by law.
5. Data sharing
Your check and incident data stay within your organization and are not shared with other customers. We disclose data only to our sub-processors, when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of Faultline and its users.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use strong credentials and limit access within your organization.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email.
